After receiving my Associate of Arts from Delta College and my Bachelor of Arts from Saginaw Valley State University I moved to Texas where I began my teaching career in the classroom. It is in the classroom where I discovered the power of technology integration in the classroom and felt the need to share my experiences with other teachers. It is through this experience I became a Digital Learning Specialist campus and then moving to the district level in 2011. Through my experiences, I have had opportunities to present at the campus, district, state and national level representing myself, my district, SMART Technologies and Google. I have also been able to share my experiences and learn from various social media tools which has strengthened my skills as a presenter.
As a Digital Learning Specialist, I provide training for teachers and students in various formats which might include face to face, webinar, or whole group learning. I specialize in integrating technology as a tool in the classroom. Through these experiences, I have become fluent in many areas of technology and have enjoyed using my resources to be able to serve my district and surrounding community. During this process, I have become a SMART Exemplary Educator, SMART Certified Trainer, Google Certified Educator and earned my Google for Education Certification. Blog |
