Ashara is an urban educator with over 20 years of experience. Ashara is an elected board member of MACUL, Michigan Computer Users in Learning, one of the largest educational technology organizations in the midwest. She has worked as a teacher, district instructional coach and district level project administrator. She also has experience as a school improvement consultant. Her expertise is in English Language Arts and Technology Integration. She enjoys assisting teachers in using free web tools to engage students and differentiate instruction. She has presented and shared at EdCamp Detroit and Schoolcraft, Oakland University Educational Technology Conference and the Michigan Computer Users in Learning Conference.
Ashara has a BA in Communications and English from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, MA in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Detroit-Mercy, MEd in Educational Administration and an Ed.S in Instructional Technology from Wayne State University.
