I taught for 32 years in the New York City school system. Even though I was a licensed Social Studies teacher I taught most subjects (Language Arts, Science, Math, Computers...)for grades 6-9. I wrote curriculum for my school district, the NYC Board of Education and Open Doors a school-business partnership. I was also a lead teacher and cooperating teacher. Cybrary Man's Educational Web Sites started April 11, 1999 as my school's library website when I served as my school's teacher-librarian. I was elected and served two terms on my town's library board of trustees. I now live in Florida.
At the same time I was teaching I wrote educational materials for the utility industry. I enjoy presenting how I wrote one of my educational activity booklets in person and skypinginto classroom all over the world. After retiring I moved to Cape Cod, Massachusetts and helped write the Mashpee Town Charter, get funding for a new library and revise the local school district's curriculum.
On Twitter I was a member of the #edchat team for five years and the originator of #engsschat. I have been a guest moderator on the following chats: #ntchat #engchat #sschat #gtchat #elemchat #1to1techat #oklaed #mdeschat
I have given the opening addresses and or sessions for #ntcamp, #edcampCitrus, #edcampSpaceCoast, #TeachMeet GA, #edcampBirmingham, #edcampSocial Studies, #edcampOrlando, #edcampBoston, #ISTE12, NCSS #sschat session, and TeachMeetKY12.

At #ISTE2014 I gave two workshops: Twitter 101 and Mystery Location Calls, was on a panel of educators for the Educators Teacher Lounge, moderated a live #satchat for school leaders (I chose the topic and questions for How to Start a Tech Revolution in your School or School District)
At #ISTE2015 I gave a Twitter 101 workshop and presentations on professional development and connecting on a global level.
