Hi! My name is Laura Jeffery and I am the College and Career Advisor at Austin High School located in H1. I have been working in education for the past ten years. Prior to coming to Fort Bend ISD, my experience included working at Houston ISD for seven years, as a CTE Program Specialist,College Access Coordinator, AVID Teacher,Inclusion Teacher, Spirit/Media/ PR/ Event Coordinator, Cheer Coach, Special Ed Testing Coordinator, and Play It Smart Athletic Academic Coach.

Before teaching I have had worked twelve years in extensive business administration, marketing, promotions and writing for mainstream and minority markets in Houston, Texas and the Southern United States. My experience has equipped me with knowledge in administration, employee management, sales, reporting, radio production, social media, promotions, fundraising, brand and event marketing for the profit and non-profit world.

​I am married with two kids, Ella and Reese and we have a dog named Defense. I love watching sports, hanging out with my family and friends and going shopping in my spare time.
