William Jeffery is a proud graduate of Prairie View A&M University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Biology Pre-Med and a Masters degree in Counseling Education. He is currently attending Stephen F. Austin University to obtain a second Masters degree in Educational Administration. His teaching career began in graduate school teaching adult education at Remington College in Houston Texas. William taught various Pharmacy classes for the State Boards Certified Pharmacy Technician exam. After two years, he became a high school science teacher at Houston ISD’s Jefferson Davis High School which is located in the “Near Northside” of Houston, Texas.While at Jeff Davis HS, William pioneered one of the first paperless classroom environments and facilitated the first 1:1 classroom in Houston ISD. Mr. Jeffery joined the Digital Learning Department in Fort Bend ISD as a Digital Learning Specialist in January 2015. William's current role affords him the opportunity to assist teachers with technology integration in the classroom and mentor teachers in incorporating technology based lessons that improve student achievement. William was the recipient of the "Guiding Star" award from the Greater Houston Area Parents in Public Schools in 2014. He was the only teacher in Fort Bend County to receive the award and the only teacher in the Houston Area to receive two awards. In addition, William was featured in Flipboard EDU's magazine, as one the top curators of educational content for teachers. William curates nine magazines through Flipboard but by far his most famous "Coach Jeffery's: Teaching with Technology" which boasts 37,000-page flips and currently 12,000 viewers over the course of this past year. Mr. Jeffery also maintains a blog on Medium.com where he writes about teaching strategies, technology education, and ways to improve student achievement. William also serves as a board member of Eduspeak, bifurcating time as a Director of General Operations and Eduspeaker.
