Cologne based educator ("iPad-teacher"), pianist & composer. André Spang studied classical and jazz-piano at the Colleges of Saarbrücken and Cologne, Germany and film scoring and arranging at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. André taught at a public high school in Cologne and is a lecturer at the University of Cologne for Music and Digital Media. He was a former lecturer at IMB of the University of Augsburg and at the University of applied sciences, Cologne. At his school, André coordinated the iPad Project and many projects about 21st Century Literacy, eg. the KAS Junior Experts and the KAS Digital Experts.
​André is a #DigitalLeadLearner, using Web2.0 Media and iPads in classroom, he is an #OER Maker and Founder of the German #EDchatDE, a Twitter Chat for Educators. André is an Apple Distinguished Educator and is a Member of the Kompetenz Team Köln, NRW for Media consulting since 2015.
As an expert for #MobileLearing, André is an national and international requested speaker and lecturer and has conducted many workshops, talks and webinars.
Beside that, André is still active as a player in Bands and as a Composer and Arranger.
