I’m a lecturer at Ecole Centrale Paris and Ecole Polytechnique where I teach courses on language, visual culture and societal challenges. All views expressed on this blog are, however, my own and do not represent either of the institutions I am affiliated with.
I co-ordinate the EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) Program at Ecole Centrale Paris who offer language support for the academic staff moving towards for science and engineering courses. I also mentor the Teaching Assistants and work on materials writing and development. I’ve just completed an MEd in Practice-Based Educational Research at the University of Exeter. I also have an MA with distinction in Language Education. My research interests are Critical Pedagogy, Discourse Analysis, Action Research, and English as a Medium of Instruction. I am passionate about bridging the gap between academic voices and those in classrooms every day. I am an experienced oral examiner and have in the past examined on both the FrenchConcours as well as for Cambridge ESOL, I have collaborated with numerous colleagues in the industry on workshops as well as done training sessions on practitioner research. I work and give professional presentations in both French and English and I can work in German and Malay. I am also Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. |
